Flatlander Designs started with a simple idea and a whole lot of heart. What began as a small women’s boutique in 2018 has grown into a full custom apparel and accessories business proudly rooted in Brooklyn, Iowa. Family-owned and operated, we’ve poured ourselves into this journey—from hand-picking styles to now crafting custom leather patch hats, embroidered gear, and more for teams, businesses, and organizations all over.
Our name, Flatlander, actually came from a little family teasing. Brant’s brother lives out in Utah, where they call us “flatlanders,” and we call them “westies.” The name stuck—and it became a fun reminder of our Midwest roots and just how far we’ve come. It’s more than just a business for us. It’s about building something lasting, providing personal service, and creating meaningful pieces that reflect your brand or team.

What type of apparel do you offer?
We offer all sorts of attire, ranging from t-shirts, hats, hoodies, crewnecks, towels, jerseys, koozies, beanies, office apparel, and much more.
What is your order minimum?
Each order we require 10 items, but we do allow you to mix match sizes and styles.
When will I get my order?
Processing time is typically 10–15 business days, but may vary depending on our current order volume and workflow.
Do you ship orders or do local pickup?
We offer both. You can pick up from us locally in Brooklyn or we can ship directly to your house, business, or preferred location.
What decoration methods do you use?
We utilize direct to film transfers, embroidery, and leather/acrylic lasered patches along with PVC/silicone patches. Each one brings a unique offering to the design table!
What is your return policy?
Because each item is custom-made and created just for you, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges. We take great care in crafting every order, and if there’s ever an issue with your product, please reach out—we’ll be happy to work with you to make it right.
